Schedule Your First Visit
We Clean. You Relax.
What to Expect:
Your First Visit vs. Your Regular Clean
The first cleaning visit is typically more thorough than subsequent maintenance visits because the team is starting from baseline — no prior clean to build on. Depending on the current state of your home, the first visit may take longer and feel more like a deep reset. This is completely normal and expected.
Once your home is on a consistent schedule, each visit maintains the clean established on the first visit. The team follows the same checklist every time — same areas, same standard, same result. Over time, visits become faster and more efficient because the home never has the chance to get deeply dirty.
To prepare:
Clear countertops, floors, and surfaces of clutter before your team arrives. This lets them clean beneath and behind everything more thoroughly. You do not need to clean before your cleaner — just declutter and let them do the rest.
Why West Orange Families Choose HWCS for Their Recurring Clean
Unlike national franchises that send whoever is available, HWCS assigns a consistent team to your home. They learn your preferences and your home over time. That consistency is what makes the difference between a clean that is just adequate and one that genuinely feels right.
Some companies reserve fan blade and blind dusting for add-on or deep cleaning services. HWCS includes them in the standard recurring checklist. Eco-friendly products, background-checked team, satisfaction guarantee, locally owned and woman-operated by Carmem, a Winter Garden resident who personally oversees every team. That is the Horizon West Cleaning Services difference.

Frequently Asked Questions About House Cleaning Services
What is included in a recurring house cleaning?
Every standard HWCS house cleaning covers the kitchen (counters, appliances, cooktop, microwave interior, sink, floors), all bathrooms (sinks, toilet, mirror, shower/tub, floors), and all living areas and bedrooms (furniture dusted, blinds dusted, fan blades dusted, window sills, floors vacuumed and mopped, beds made). See the full room-by-room checklist above.
How often should I have my house professionally cleaned?
How often you should deep clean your home depends on your household. Weekly cleaning is ideal for homes with kids, pets, or high foot traffic. Bi-weekly works well for most West Orange County families and is our most popular plan. Monthly is best for smaller households or low-traffic homes. Not sure? Start with a one-time clean and we will recommend the right frequency.
What is the difference between house cleaning and deep cleaning?
Recurring house cleaning maintains your home's cleanliness on a regular schedule — keeping it consistently fresh. Deep cleaning goes further: baseboards hand-wiped, inside appliances, cabinet interiors, and detailed scrubbing of areas that accumulate over time. We recommend a deep clean as a first visit or for homes that haven't been professionally cleaned in a while. Visit our Deep Cleaning page to learn more about how a deep clean differs from a standard clean.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. Most HWCS clients schedule their cleanings while at work or running errands. Just provide access instructions (key, lockbox, or garage code) and your team will handle everything. Every cleaner is background-checked and insured — your home is in trusted hands.
Do your cleaners bring their own supplies and equipment?
Yes — HWCS arrives fully equipped with all cleaning supplies and equipment. We use professional-grade, eco-friendly products that are safe for children, pets, and Florida homes. If you have specific product sensitivities or preferences, let us know and we will accommodate where possible.
Is house cleaning the same as maid service?
Essentially yes — "maid service" and "house cleaning service" describe the same type of professional residential cleaning. At HWCS we use both terms, but we prefer "house cleaning" because it better describes what we do: a thorough, professional cleaning of your home on a schedule that works for you.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens. Contact HWCS as early as possible and we will find the next available slot. We ask for reasonable advance notice when possible, but we understand that schedules change — especially for busy West Orange County families.
Can I customize what gets cleaned in my home?
Yes. The standard checklist covers every major area, but if you have specific priorities — rooms to focus on, areas to skip, or tasks not on the standard list — just let us know. Your plan is built around your home and your lifestyle.
What is not included in standard house cleaning?
Standard recurring cleaning does not include interior oven cleaning, interior refrigerator cleaning, inside cabinets and drawers, full baseboard hand-wiping, or hand-cleaning blinds or fan blades. Many detail tasks are available through deep cleaning, our move in/move out cleaning, or as add-ons.
